Walaja (the Yawuru word for honey) is a proudly indigenous business who collects honey from the beautiful and pristine Kimberley region of Western Australia.
They produce 4 seasonal honey’s across the year.

Melaleuca (paperbark)- from the Melaleuca Alsophila flowering March to October - Currently available. The honey comes specifically from the Salt Water Paperbark and has been scientifically analysed with a total activity measuring TA25+. It has a sweet and unique taste and aroma.

◎ Melaleuca: The Melaleuca is light in colour with a sweet taste and unique aroma. It has been scientifically tested and confirmed as having total activity (TA+) of 25+. Although scientific testing is only recent, the knowledge of its medicinal properties has been passed down through generations of the Indigenous Yawuru people.
Melaleuca or paperbark is one of the most important food sources for the bees in the Kimberley. It's nectar flows from Easter through till August.
◎ About Yawuru Aboriginal Group :
The honey is collected from the Roebuck Plains Station – an area covering 750,000 acres surrounding the historic pearling town of Broome that is owned and managed by the Yawuru Aboriginal Group.
The hives are cared for by the Appleby family who have proud Yawuru heritage and ensure the honey is 100% organic, natural, raw, unprocessed, unheated and contains no additives.
Warndu means good in the Adnyamathanha language. Our mission is to REGENERATE culture, community, tradition, health and our soils. Every product we make includes one or more Australian Native ingredients.
Our products are all made in Australia from 100% locally sourced, seasonal and wild harvested produce.
To maintain Warndu taste we keep smaller quantities on hand of our Australian Natives, it takes us a little while to dry, roast or grind them to make. We aim to send all orders within ten days of receiving them.

◎ We send by tracked standard Australia Post and offer Express Post. With Express Post please be aware that we still require 3-10 days for packing from the time of order. This allows us to blend products and keep up with the volume of orders. Express post speeds up the AusPost delivery time.
◎ We offer free delivery over $100 when you enter FREESHIP at checkout.

◎ Due to our hand blending and keeping products as fresh as possible, items may take 7-10 days to prepare, and then send from the Clare Valley. There has been delays due to border closures. We generally send items on Tuesdays.
