Sunrise Lime

Warndu's Australian Native Fruit - Sunrise Lime is shaped like a small pear, with a tangy cumquat flavour, these limes are a stunning yellow colour and perfect in just about everything.

Sunrise lime packs a delicious citrus punch. Use in absolutely everything you would use citrus in. You can also blitz the chip into a fine powder. Keep stored in an airtight container away from direct sunlight to preserve flavour and colour.

Please note the chips will have some crushing during transport. The powder is still great over cocktails.

How to Use

Sunrise Lime chips are also an excellent addition as a drink garnish in mineral water, soda water or with the hard stuff and tonic.

Discover the taste of Sunrise Lime with the 'Lime'ade' recipe, featured in the First Nations Food Companion.

Powdered: Perfect for baking and cooking but best used uncooked to maintain its benefits.  Best in a smoothie, juice or sprinkled on cereals and yoghurt.

Chips: Perfect as Garnish for cocktails or added to cooking - anywhere you would use preserved lemons and of course your favourite Applewood Gin and Tonic.

Learn More

The Australian Sunrise Lime is a hybrid of the finger lime and a calamondin (cross between a mandarin and cumquat) created by the CSIRO. It is similar to a kumquat in that the fruit can be eaten whole, as the pith and rind are sweet and the juice inside is tangy and fresh with a delicate floral note.

Our mission is to REGENERATE culture, community, tradition, health and our soils. Every product we make includes one or more Australian Native ingredients.

In our efforts to be zero waste and plastic free, and with the changes to recycling in Australia, we will be phasing out all plastic bags. For now you may receive your spices, teas and home products in either black, white or clear plastic, and once that is all gone our amazing new compostable plant-based packaging will be what you will receive products in.
Thanks for your patience and understanding whilst we endeavour to tread lightly on your yarta (land).

To maintain Warndu taste we keep smaller quantities on hand of our Australian Natives, it takes us a little while to dry, roast or grind them to make. We aim to send all orders within ten days of receiving them.
