Pepper Berry Leaf

We love this spice, sourced from Tasmania, in just about any thing savoury and it actually works wonderfully in creamy desserts too.

It adds a delicious peppery bite to pasta dough, savoury biscuits and bread, and can be added to curries, slow-cooked foods, cheeses and egg dishes, to enhance the flavour. It also lifts the profile of alcoholic beverages such as gin, vodka, white rum, Cointreau and tequila.

This product comes as dried and ground whole leaf.

Love the spicy punch of Pepper Berry? Then try this spice as a whole dried fruit, or you can taste this flavour in our Salt and Pepper mix. You'll also find a hint of Pepper Berry in our deliciously blended Wild Chai Latte and our Aussie Dukkah.

Our products are all made in Australia from 100% locally sourced, seasonal and wild harvested produce.

Warndu means good in the Adnyamathanha language.

Our mission is to REGENERATE culture, community, tradition, health and our soils. Every product we make includes one or more Australian Native ingredients.

In our efforts to be zero waste and plastic free, and with the changes to recycling in Australia, we will be phasing out all plastic bags. For now you may receive your spices, teas and home products in either black, white or clear plastic, and once that is all gone our amazing new compostable plant-based packaging will be what you will receive products in.
Thanks for your patience and understanding whilst we endeavour to tread lightly on your yarta (land).

To maintain Warndu taste we keep smaller quantities on hand of our Australian Natives, it takes us a little while to dry, roast or grind them to make. We aim to send all orders within ten days of receiving them.

the Pepper Berry leaves

Once I received my order from you, I started using the Pepper Berry and Lemon Myrtle in my tea with surprising results. It’s anecdotal, of course, so those in the Medical Profession would probably dispute it, but I have had reduced pain and swelling in my joints. I now tell others to use it to.

Being GF I’d love to have Kangaroo Grass flour. Is there any chance that you would sell it? I’ve definitely changed my whole thinking about gardening after reading Dark Emu and I have more native bush food plants in my garden.

Regards,
Louise
